چکیده
Using 2605 Chinese A-share listed companies in the mining, manufacturing, and energy production supply sectors from 2009 to 2020, we examine relationship between climate policy uncertainty (CPU) firm-level total factor productivity (TFP). The main findings are as follows: First, CPU significantly reduces TFP, with a greater impact on low-productivity firms than high-productivity firms; second, negative effect of TFP is most pronounced for non-state-owned, labor-intensive, capital-intensive companies; third, hinders research development investment amount free cash flow. These results indicate that exerts impacts mainly via its effects capital status companies. Our remain valid after series robustness tests controlling endogeneity. government should introduce forward-looking policies reduce uncertainty.

This note shows that differences (across sectors or regions) in the effective price of inputs results in low measured total factor productivity (TFP).
متن کاملComputing Productivity: Firm-Level Evidence
We explore the effect of computerization on productivity and output growth using data from 527 large US firms over 1987-1994. We find that computerization makes a contribution to measured productivity and output growth in the short term (using one year differences) that is consistent with normal returns to computer investments. However, the productivity and output contributions associated with ...

When firms are in doubt about costs of doing business due to possible changes in regulation, cost of health care and taxes, they become more guarded with investmen...

متن کاملAge, Wage and Productivity: Firm-Level Evidence
In this paper, we estimate the profile of productivity by age through the estimation of production functions. ‘Productivity’ is defined as the average contribution of age groups to the productivity of firms. Our data are a matched employer-employee dataset covering about 70,000 firms in the late 1990’s in France. We find that productivity increases with age until age 40 and then remains stable ...
